Heather Thomas

Heather Thomas, Ph.D, OTR/L, DipACLM serves as the Program Director for the Occupational Therapy Doctorate program at Southern California University of Health Sciences since September 2022. In addition to this role, Heather is also a Professor and Curriculum Coordinator, previously holding the position of Interim Program Director. Heather contributes to Rebuilding Together as a board member since January 2022 and has authored a leading textbook in occupational therapy while working with SLACK Incorporated since June 2011. Heather's extensive background in clinical and academic settings includes tenure as an Occupational Therapist and OT Director at Casa Colina from September 1998 to September 2022. Academic roles include serving as a Professor and Program Director at Western University of Health Sciences and West Coast University, alongside positions at American Career College. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Health Care Administration from Touro University and a Master's in Occupational Therapy from USC.
