John Cronin, PE has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. John started their career in 2010 at RaceTrac Petroleum, where they worked as an associate and performed various management duties. In 2015, they interned at Pond & Company as an Integrity Engineer, assisting in Mechanical Integrity and Cathodic Protection projects both in the field and office. John continued to work at Pond & Company as a Mechanical Engineer III from 2016 to 2021, focusing on creating 3D models of storage tanks, utilizing VBA for efficiency, and performing deformation analysis and strapping calculations. Currently, John holds the position of Principal Engineer in Transmission and Large Pipeline at Southern Company Gas, starting in 2021.

John Cronin, PE obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Southern Polytechnic State University, where they studied from 2008 to 2015. In addition to their degree, they have obtained various certifications including a Professional Engineer (PE) license from NCEES in December 2019. John also holds certifications such as API 570 Piping Inspector, Coating Inspector Level 1 from NACE International, API 653 Aboveground Storage Tank Inspector from API - American Petroleum Institute, and many more.
