Sarah Adams

Sarah Adams has a wealth of experience in accounting and finance. Sarah has been with Southern Company Gas since 2023, serving as the SVP and Comptroller. Prior to that, they worked at Georgia Power Company from 2011 to 2020, holding various roles including Vice President & Comptroller and Assistant Comptroller. Sarah'sresponsibilities included overseeing financial and regulatory accounting functions, maintaining proper accounting disclosures, and directing accounting research. Before joining Georgia Power Company, they held positions at Southern Company as an Internal Controls Manager and Accounting Manager. Sarah also worked at Mirant and Arthur Andersen, where they gained experience in external reporting and served as an Experienced Senior.

Sarah Adams earned a Master of Accounting (MAcc) degree in Accounting from the University of Georgia - Terry College of Business between 1996 and 1998. Sarah also holds a certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the GA State Board of Accountancy, obtained in the year 2000.
