Katherine Beauman

Katherine Beauman has extensive work experience in the field of engineering. Katherine started their career as a Mechanical Engineering Co-op at Southern Company from May 2011 to May 2012. Following this, they worked as an Engineer III from May 2012 to November 2013, and then as an Engineer II from November 2013 to October 2015. Katherine continued to progress within the company and held the position of Engineer I from October 2015 to March 2018. From March 2018 to October 2018, they served as a Contracts Lead for multiple construction projects. Katherine then took on the role of Assistant Site Manager, Admin from October 2018 to March 2023. Currently, Katherine is working as a Governance Risk Lead - Engineer Senior at Southern Company. Additionally, they gained experience as an Engineering Co-op at Norfolk Southern from January 2010 to August 2010.

Katherine Beauman pursued their higher education by first attending Hinds Community College from 2005 to 2007. During this time, they obtained an Associate of Arts degree with a focus on General Studies. Continuing their academic journey, Katherine then joined the University of Alabama at Birmingham from 2007 to 2012. Katherine successfully completed their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering during this period.
