Kenneth Shiver serves as the Chief Economist and Director of Planning, Regulatory & Strategy Support at Southern Company since 2002, where responsibilities include leading shared service demand planning functions and providing thought leadership on economic issues related to energy efficiency, distributed energy resources, electrification, and utility planning. Prior to this role, Kenneth Shiver held various positions at Georgia Power Company from 1998 to 2002, including Director of Planning and Regulatory Support and Team Leader Market Planning. Kenneth Shiver holds an MS in Economics from Georgia State University and a BBA in Economics from the University of West Georgia.
