Melanie Eckroate

Melanie Eckroate is a seasoned accounting professional with extensive experience in various roles within Southern Company and Southern Nuclear Operating Company. Currently serving as Assistant Comptroller at Southern Company since March 2020, Melanie has previously held positions as Accounting Services Director and Accounting Manager. Prior to this, Melanie was the Corporate Accounting Manager at Southern Nuclear Operating Company from March 2013 to March 2020. Melanie's career at Southern Company began in October 2006, progressing through several roles including Accounts Payable Supervisor, Project Manager, System Analyst, and Auditor.
