Michael Buteau

Michael Buteau is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in strategic communications, public relations, and journalism. Currently serving as a Sr. Communications Specialist and Corporate Communications Lead at Southern Company since June 2019, Michael provides critical internal and external communications support for one of the largest utility companies in the U.S. Prior roles include contributions as a Contributing Writer for Forbes and serving as a Public Relations Communications Consultant for Porsche Cars North America, where Michael effectively supported media campaigns and storytelling initiatives. Additionally, Michael held the position of Director of Communications and Marketing at Mount Pisgah Christian School, enhancing brand visibility and communications strategies. Earlier in a distinguished career at Bloomberg LP, experience as a Senior Reporter encompassed various media formats. Michael holds a BA in Communications and English from Norwich University.
