Rob Mims

Rob Mims possesses extensive experience in security leadership across various sectors, including energy and healthcare. Currently serving as Director of Security for Southern Company, Rob directs ICS security for a major electric utility holding company. Concurrently, Rob is the CISO and Managing Director of Corporate & Information Security at AGL Resources, where Rob developed a comprehensive information security program. Previous roles include CISO and Vice President of Security at MedAvant Healthcare Solutions, where Rob established a security program that adhered to critical regulations including HIPAA and SOX. Rob's career also encompasses positions with Edeltacom and Xcelerate Corporation, as well as a decade of service in the US Navy as a Fire Controlman First Class. Rob holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master’s in Business Administration from Georgia Southern University.
