Tracy Cook

Tracy Cook is an experienced leader in the power generation industry with a career spanning over three decades. Currently serving as Director of Technical Services at Southern Company since 2008, Tracy oversees all Mechanical Design and Mechanical Systems for the company's generation facilities. Previous roles include General Manager of Mechanical Support and CT Fleet Manager, focusing on strategic management of long-term service agreements. Prior to Southern Company, Tracy held positions such as Maintenance Manager at Georgia Power Company and Operations Manager at Mississippi Power Company. Additional experience includes roles at Alabama Power Company and GE, where expertise in steam and gas turbine systems was developed. Educational background includes a Master’s degree from Arizona State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Alabama.
