Kyle O'Brien

Kyle O'Brien, PhD, DHSc, MSOT, LCSW, OTRL, currently serves as the Director of Clinical Education and Experiential Learning and is the Founding Academic Fieldwork Coordinator for the graduate Occupational Therapy program at Southern Connecticut State University since August 2016. With a diverse academic background that includes a PhD in Social Work and a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy, Kyle holds tenure as an Associate Professor and oversees the Bachelor of Health Science Program while contributing to online learning initiatives. Prior experience includes roles as a Doctoral Research Fellow at the McSilver Institute, a Part Time Lecturer at Gateway Community College, and various therapeutic positions in occupational and geriatric care. Kyle's extensive teaching portfolio encompasses social work courses focused on human behavior, aging, and practicum experiences, demonstrating a commitment to education and research in health and social sciences.
