Business Analyst Lead / Scrum Master at Southern Cross Healthcare

Ann Browett has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Ann began their career as a Staff Nurse at Tauranga Hospital in 1980, and later worked as a Staff Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at Auckland Hospital from 1981 to 1984. Ann then moved on to Mercy Hospital, where they served as a Staff Nurse in the ICU from 1982 to 1984, and as a Charge Nurse in the ICU for a brief period in 1986.

From 1986 to 1989, Ann worked as a Staff Nurse in the Intensive Care Units at The Humana Hospital Wellington in London. Ann then returned to Mercy Hospital and took on the role of Clinical Nurse Educator from 1989 to 1990.

Ann transitioned into the role of IS Application Specialist and Project Manager at Mercy Hospital and Healthcare Services from 1992 to 2001. In this position, they were responsible for managing and administering various systems and being the key contact for vendors.

In 2002, Ann joined Sysmex New Zealand as a Project Manager, where they worked on initiating and maintaining projects for software installations, upgrades, and product developments. Ann also handled resource planning, monitored project progress, and managed communication with customers.

Most recently, Ann was employed by Southern Cross Healthcare Ltd as a Business Process Analyst and Scrum Master from 2004. Ann played a vital role in partnering with another organization to implement an electronic health record system using an agile working framework. Ann was also involved in numerous successful implementations and projects related to clinical workstations, resource management systems, and patient information documents.

Throughout their career, Ann has demonstrated a strong ability to manage projects, collaborate with teams, and drive successful implementations.

Ann Browett has a diverse education history. In 1970, they attended Kuranui College in Greytown. The degree name and field of study for this period are unknown. From 1974 to 1977, Ann attended Wellington Hospital School of Nursing, where they obtained a degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse (RGON). In 1992, they attended Auckland University of Technology and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Health Science (BHSc) with a specialization in Nursing.

In addition to their formal education, Ann Browett also holds several certifications. In June 2021, they became an ICAgile Certified Professional through the institution ICAgile. Furthermore, in October 2022, they completed additional certifications including Agile Project Leadership, Managing Your Time, and The Five Conversations That Deliver Accountability and Performance, all obtained through LinkedIn.
