Sam Walsh

Sam Walsh is a seasoned professional in healthcare management and specialist engagement, currently serving as the Head of Specialist Engagement at Southern Cross Healthcare since August 2022. With a solid background that includes roles such as Transformation Lead and Clinical Officer within the same organization, Sam focuses on developing strategic relationships with medical specialists and enhancing regional healthcare initiatives. Previous experience includes being a Partnerships Manager at Southern Cross Health Society, where strategic planning and contract negotiations were key responsibilities, as well as leading business development at UniSports Orthopaedics. Sam's foundation in healthcare began as a Senior Physiotherapist, complemented by a Master's degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy, both from Auckland University of Technology.
