David Murphy

David Murphy has extensive experience in the construction and project management sectors, currently serving as Senior Production Manager at Southern Homes of Polk County, Inc. since January 2014. In this role, David oversees all aspects of single-family home construction, ensuring the company's objectives for cost, quality, and timelines are met. Prior to this, David worked for the Polk County School Board from June 2007 to January 2014 as a Project Manager, facilitating construction of school facilities and ensuring adherence to contract specifications. David also held the position of Maintenance Planning Specialist, overseeing maintenance projects and prioritizing work schedules. Previously, David served as Construction Superintendent at Southern Homes of Polk County, Inc. from January 2006 to June 2007, managing construction operations from pre-construction homeowner meetings to final inspections. David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science with a focus on Law & Society from Florida State University, completed in 2004.
