Maeve Mallozi-Kelly

AmeriCorps VISTA Member at Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation - SMIF

Maeve joins the SMIF team as an AmeriCorps VISTA member working on local food initiatives. She will be focused on developing a needs-based assessment for farmers’ markets in SMIF’s 20-county region to identify where they could receive more support. This service position is in partnership with the Minnesota Farmers’ Market Association, Renewing the Countryside, and the Sustainable Farming Association.

Maeve grew up in South Bend, IN. She finished her masters in Sustainable Development in August 2020 from the School of International Training. As part of her master's program, Maeve was an Agriculture Extension Peace Corps Volunteer in Paraguay for two years. In the Peace Corps, she worked with small-scale producers to improve their soil health and helped create a seed bank curriculum for agricultural high schools.
