Kathleen Blake

Kathleen Blake is an experienced art educator and practicing artist with a diverse background in teaching and artistic creation. Currently an instructor at Southern Nazarene University since January 2021, Kathleen teaches Drawing I and Visual Journaling. Additionally, Kathleen operates as a studio artist, engaging in printmaking, mixed media, and painting since January 1965. Previous teaching roles include instructing adults in printmaking at Oklahoma Contemporary and serving as an art teacher at Mount St. Mary High School, where courses ranged from introductory to advanced levels, including AP Studio Art. Kathleen was recognized as a National Board Certified Teacher between 1998 and 2008 and has also taught at Edmond Memorial High School for 26 years. Kathleen holds a Master's degree in Education with a specialization in Visual Arts from the University of Central Oklahoma.
