Cassandra Meraz

Cassandra Meraz is a seasoned public health professional with a focus on health education and prevention. Currently serving as a Health Educator at Southern Nevada Health District since July 2023, Cassandra previously held the role of Assistant Staff Analyst at Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, where responsibilities included supervising the COVID-19 Vaccine Call Center and overseeing its daily operations. Cassandra also contributed to vaccine logistics and onboarding providers in myCAvax. Prior experience includes serving as a Prevention Coordinator at PUEBLO Y SALUD, where bilingual substance use prevention education was provided, and collaborations were established to advocate for social justice policies within Hispanic/Latinx communities. Educational background includes a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Health Policy and Management from Loyola University Chicago and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Public Health from UC San Diego.
