Justin Hinsen is an experienced professional with a diverse background in environmental health and beverage management. Currently serving as an Environmental Health Specialist at Southern Nevada Health District since July 2018, Justin conducts inspections of public facilities to ensure adherence to health and safety regulations while responding to citizen complaints and investigating epidemiological issues. In addition to this role, Justin has been the Beverage Shift Manager at SLS Las Vegas since September 2015, overseeing a large team and leading fresh beverage program initiatives. Previously, Justin gained valuable experience as a bartender and lead bartender at the Hakkasan Group, contributing to the successful launch of Alibi Cocktail Lounge, which received recognition as the 2015 Nightclub & Bar Magazine Las Vegas Cocktail Bar of the Year. Earlier career positions include store management roles at 7-Eleven and Rick's Smoke Shop, along with foundational experience in hospitality at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. Justin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from the University of Southern California.

This mission of the Health District is, “To assess, protect, and promote the health, the environment, and the well-being of Southern Nevada communities, residents, and visitors.” To this end, the Health District offers services and provides regulatory supervision that impact the public every day – from the food they eat and the water they drink, to the public establishments they visit, the businesses they operate and the requirements they must meet in order to work in certain industries such as food service and child care.
