Maria Azzarelli has over two decades of experience in public health management, currently serving as the Manager of the Office of Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion at the Southern Nevada Health District since April 2018, following a role in the Tobacco Control Program since 1999. Prior to this, Maria contributed to educational initiatives as an Assistant at the University of Nevada Las Vegas and worked as a Substitute Teacher in the Clark County School District. Maria's academic credentials include a Master’s Degree in Executive Masters Health Care Administration from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas and a Bachelor of Science in Community Health Education from the same institution. Additionally, Maria gained early experience as a Laboratory Technician at the University of Nevada Reno and as a Resident Assistant in the Upward Bound Program.
