Brett Vanderford is a seasoned analytical chemist with over two decades of experience, currently serving as Principal Laboratory Scientist at the Southern Nevada Water Authority since 2000. In this role, Brett leads the Analytical Research and Development section, focusing on water quality issues and environmental processes through advanced analytical techniques, including mass spectrometry. Prior to this position, Brett worked at NEL Laboratories as a Research Chemist from 1994 to 2000, holding various titles including Principal GC-MS Chemist and Principal Inorganic Chemist. Brett holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemistry and Biological Science from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, completed in 1997.
