Jose A. Luna is a seasoned Senior Health Physicist with a comprehensive background in radiation protection and radioactive waste management, currently employed at Southern Nuclear since May 2015. Luna has been instrumental in the design and development of radiation protection programs for the Vogtle 3 & 4 Development, including support for radioactive materials shipping and transportation related to the Westinghouse AP-1000 Reactor Design. Prior experience includes roles at Navarro Research and Engineering, where significant responsibilities included conducting radiation surveys, implementing environmental remediation, and ensuring regulatory compliance across multiple operational areas. Luna's technical expertise is complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from LeTourneau University, an MBA from Texas A&M University, and an Associate of Applied Science in Radiation Protection from Texas State Technical College.
