Tim Drouin, PMP, has extensive experience in the nuclear industry, currently serving as General Manager of Southern Nuclear Services since January 2016. Drouin's career includes various leadership roles at Southern Nuclear, such as Assistant to the Vice President of Engineering and Organizational Effectiveness Leader. Prior to Southern Nuclear, Drouin held several director positions at Westinghouse Electric Company from 2009 to 2016, overseeing Modification and Installation Operations, Major Projects, and Project Integration. Earlier experience includes roles at Entergy Nuclear Operations Inc. and Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Corporation, where Drouin managed significant projects and engineering teams. Drouin holds a Master’s in Management from New England College and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Northeastern University.

Southern Nuclear operates a total of seven units for Alabama Power and Georgia Power at the Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant near Dothan, Ala.; the Edwin I. Hatch Nuclear Plant near Baxley, Ga., and the Alvin W. Vogtle Electric Generating Plant near Waynesboro, Ga. The company recently achieved commercial operation on Vogtle Unit 3 and is the current licensee of Vogtle Unit 4, which is under construction. Both of these units represent historic achievements for the nuclear industry as the first new nuclear units to reach commercial operation and be built in the United States in the last three decades.
