Cassandra Douglas is the interim Chief Communications Officer at the Southern Poverty Law Center. Cassandra has over fifteen years of experience in digital media and marketing, and has held leadership positions at several organizations, including Simplicity Consulting, CSD & Company, and Public Broadcasting Atlanta.

At Simplicity Consulting, Cassandra managed digital marketing programs for Microsoft. Cassandra was responsible for planning, organizing, delivering, and managing new website experiences and digital marketing campaigns. Cassandra ensured that content and customer experiences aligned with business goals.

At CSD & Company, Cassandra conceptualized digital, content, and marketing strategies to support the organization's business goals. Cassandra directed a multi-disciplinary team of editors, writers, designers, and developers to execute projects across websites, radio, and TV.

At Public Broadcasting Atlanta, Cassandra increased the performance of websites by consolidating three sites from different content management systems onto one CMS using WordPress. Cassandra also facilitated the execution of a $100K Facebook grant by spearheading strategies to improve brand awareness and revamp the donation form. As a result of their work, they won the 2018 Gabby Award for Best Website Use of Digital Platforms from the Georgia Association of Broadcasters.
