Christopher Cummiskey currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial and Customer Solutions Officer at Southern Company, a role held since January 2021. In addition, Christopher holds positions as Chairman and CEO of Southern Power and PowerSecure, Inc., since July 2020, and previously served as Group CEO of Southern Energy Resources. At Georgia Power Company from May 2015 to July 2020, Christopher led external affairs and nuclear development. Earlier experience includes serving as Chief Commercial Officer at Southern Power and Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Economic Development, where significant job creation and economic investment occurred. Additionally, Christopher has a background as Chief of Staff in the Georgia House of Representatives and as State Director for U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson. Christopher earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Georgia's Terry College of Business.
