Felipe Betancor

Felipe Betancor is a seasoned professional in renewable energy engineering with extensive experience in performance engineering, validation, and additive manufacturing. Currently serving as a Sr. Renewable Energy Performance Engineer at Southern Power since October 2022, Felipe previously held several key roles at GE Renewable Energy, including Lead Test and Validation Engineer, where responsibilities included validating wind turbine performance and managing third-party data delivery. Additional experience encompasses program management, mechanical and structural design engineering, and research in advanced materials processing. Felipe's educational background includes a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and ongoing studies for a Master of Science in Management with a focus on Organizational Leadership at the Gies College of Business, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
