James D. Fielder

James D. Fielder is a board member at the SOUTHERN REGIONAL EDUCATION BOARD. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Business Development Officer at SMART Business Advisory and Consulting from February 2007 to August 2008. James also served as the Secretary of the Department of Labor, Licensing & Regulation for the State of Maryland from January 2003 to January 2007. In addition, they were the Town Administrator for Town of Bel Air, Maryland from January 2014 to January 2015. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President of Business Development at Woofound, Inc. from July 2012 to December 2013. James also served as the President of On Campus Management from January 2000 to January 2003 and as the Vice President of Finance & Administration at Towson University from January 1999 to December 2000. Additionally, they served as the Deputy Secretary at the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development from January 1995 to December 1999.

James D. Fielder has a PhD in Higher Education Administration/Business from Michigan State University and a degree from the University of Maryland.
