Wanda Barker

Wanda Barker has a diverse range of work experience in the field of education and technology. Wanda began their career at Catawba Valley Community College as an Instructor for Office Systems Technology, where they had various responsibilities including teaching courses, creating schedules, and advising students. Wanda then joined the University of Phoenix as a Faculty Recruiter, where they recruited and trained faculty while also creating a new tutoring program. Wanda later moved on to the North Carolina Community College System, starting as an Instructional Designer and eventually being promoted to Director of Distance Learning, overseeing distance learning programs and managing the Virtual Learning Community. After their time at the NCCC, Wanda joined the NC Community College System as the Executive Director of eLearning and Technology Systems, focusing on eLearning, library services, and the NC Learning Object Repository. Currently, Wanda is working at the Southern Regional Education Board as the Director of Education Technology and Multi-State Cooperative Programs, where they lead the Educational Technology Cooperative composed of 16 member states.

Wanda Barker earned their Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, General from Lenoir-Rhyne University in 2004. Wanda then pursued further education and obtained their MBA from the University of Phoenix from 2006 to 2007.
