Southern Sales and Service Company Limited was incorporated in November 1952 by the late Mr Aziz Ahamad. With over fifty (50) years in the motor vehicle industry the company had been under the guidance of his son Mr Nazir Ahamad, for forty (40) years until May, 2004, when he passed away. Nazir’s sons Imtiaz, Shiraz and Reyaz, have all played active roles in the day to day management and control of the company and are the pillars for future growth and development. Southern Sales' management team has cumulatively over two hundred years experience in the motor vehicle industry. The company is involved in all facets of the motor vehicle industry and as a result has instituted a management structure that is dedicated to all the respective functions of the motor vehicle business. This comprises Brand Managers for New Vehicle Sales, Divisional Managers for Used Vehicles, Leasing, Service and Spare Parts as well as the supporting administrative functions of Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Human Resources and Marketing. At present, our management staff amounts to twenty-six (26) and comprise of an acceptable blend of youth and experience that is highly focused and performance driven. The group represents a mix of brands that caters for all sectors of the domestic motor vehicle market which itself has undergone changes within the last twelve (12) years. Represented are Mazda and Isuzu from Japan, Kia from Korea and Audi from Germany. At present, and as a result of the brand mix and support service, the company ranks third in market share with respect to new vehicles, and first with respect to corporate leasing in Trinidad and Tobago.
