Michael Mason

Michael Mason is a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Southern Spars, a position held since October 2024. Previously, Michael served in various roles at Rocket Lab from January 2019 to September 2024, including Principal Manufacturing Engineer and Lead Manufacturing Engineer. Prior to that, Michael was the Chief Manufacturing Officer at kinaroad, a company specializing in efficient surfboard shaping solutions from November 2014 to December 2018. Michael holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Auckland University of Technology (2013-2015) and completed high school education at Saint Kentigern College (2005-2011).
