Brian Roberts has a diverse work experience in engineering roles. Brian began their career at Georgia Tech Motorsports as a Fabricator and eventually became the Chief Engineer. During their time there, they gained valuable skills in fabrication, machining, project management, and cost management.
In 2007, Brian joined Southern States LLC as a Product Design Engineer, where they were responsible for designing high voltage circuit switchers, capacitor switches, and reactor switches. Brian then progressed to the role of Product Design Engineer II, where they oversaw the design process from concept to production.
Brian's role evolved further as they became a Product Development Engineer, focusing on developing new products for the Power Switching Division. Brian later took on the position of Senior Development Engineer, where they led the Design Engineering group and worked on developing SF6-free high power arc interruption technology.
Currently, Brian serves as the Chief Engineer and Development Engineering Manager at Southern States LLC. In this role, they lead the Design Engineering group for the Power Switching Division and is responsible for the development of new technologies.
Brian Roberts attended the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering.
