Chip Pinion

Chip Pinion has a diverse work experience in the energy industry. Chip has held various roles in different companies, starting with their current position as an Area Sales Manager at Southern States LLC since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Subject Matter Expert - Smart Grid at Schneider Electric from August 2022 to March 2023. In this role, they provided operations and engineering expertise in Smart Grid technologies and power systems applications.

Before joining Schneider Electric, Chip was the System Operations Manager at Duck River EMC from March 2021 to July 2022, where they were responsible for managing the operations of the electrical system. Prior to that, they worked as an Electrical Engineer at Duck River EMC from May 2019 to March 2021.

From May 2011 to April 2019, Chip worked at Middle Tennessee Electric as the Systems Control Supervisor, where they oversaw the control systems. Prior to that, they were an Electrical Engineer at Middle Tennessee Electric from January 2006 to June 2011.

Early in their career, Chip worked at Dyersburg Electric System. Chip held the position of Projects Manager from August 2000 to August 2001, and before that, they worked as a part-time Projects Manager from January 1997 to August 2000.

Chip Pinion has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from the University of Tennessee at Martin, which they completed from 1995 to 2000. In 2016 to 2017, they participated in the NRECA Management Internship Program (MIP) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and received a certificate. Additionally, Chip obtained a certification in Sales Strategies and Approaches in a New World of Selling from LinkedIn in February 2022.
