Albert Samuels

Albert Samuels has extensive academic and administrative experience at Southern University and A&M College, serving as Chair of the Advisory Board for the Jewel Limar Prestage Public Policy, Polling, and Research Center since May 2018, and as President of the Faculty Senate. In the Department of Political Science and History, Albert Samuels has held the position of Chairman since August 2018. Additionally, Albert Samuels has been a Professor at Southern University since August 1999, contributing significantly to the Department of Political Science and Geography as both Professor and Chair. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Political Science from Louisiana State University, a Master of Arts in Social Sciences with a concentration in History from Southern University and A&M College, and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Southern University and Agricultural and Mechanical College at Baton Rouge.
