Derrick Cavazos M.A., JD is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in law, education, and political consulting. As Chief Strategist at Cavazos & Associates Consulting Firm since March 2019, Derrick has been instrumental in driving strategic initiatives. Concurrently serving as a Law Clerk for Attorney Alton Bates since January 2018 and a Self-Employed Political Consultant since January 2017, Derrick brings a unique blend of legal expertise and political acumen. Derrick has also held multiple roles at Southern University and Agricultural and Mechanical College at Baton Rouge, including Enrollment Management Coordinator, First Year Experience Director, Freshman Seminar Instructor, and Adjunct Professor, focusing on student guidance and instructional leadership in History and Political Science.
