Joycelyn Johnson is the Chief of Police at Southern University. Joycelyn has been with the department since 2009, and was promoted to Lieutenant in 2014. In 2017, they were promoted to Chief.

Joycelyn Johnson has a masters in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration from Southern University and Agricultural and Mechanical College at Baton Rouge. Joycelyn also has a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science from the same school.
