Simon Parker is an accomplished professional in the water utility sector, currently serving as the Director of Asset Strategy and Planning at Southern Water since May 2012. In this role, Simon is responsible for delivering Asset Management across the Wholesale business, developing strategies to meet regulatory and performance outcomes. Previously, Simon held various leadership positions at Southern Water, including Director of Wholesale Wastewater Services, overseeing services for over 4 million customers, and Head of Wastewater Infrastructure, managing the wastewater collection service for over 2 million customers. Simon's prior experience at Yorkshire Water from April 2007 to May 2012 included roles such as Leakage Recovery Manager and Manager of Network Optimisation, where Simon drove significant business changes and optimised water and sewerage operations. Simon holds a degree in Chemistry from the University of York, obtained between 1989 and 1992.
