Sharon Gaughan

Sharon Gaughan worked for over 30 years in the Banking sector. During her career, Sharon has worked in various aspects of Finance particularly Corporate Banking and Compliance. Her current rule is working as a Senior Manager of Risk and Compliance for a Foreign Bank. The role requires skills in managing complex projects to ensure compliance with the rules and guidelines. This role also requires engagement with various Regulators and Senior Stakeholders of the Bank.

For Sharon, a recent significant achievement was to set up a Corporate Social Responsibility Programme at her Bank, facilitating colleagues to spend time volunteering in the community and raising funds for various charities.

Sharon is involved with a coaching program at her work for junior members of staff and is interested in the personal development of young people in order to ensure success in their careers.

Sharon has lived in Southgate for 20 years. Sharon very much looking forward to working with the Governors of Southgate School and meeting as many people associated with the School as possible over the coming terms.
