Tyson Kafentzis

Tyson Kafentzis is an experienced professional in the mechanical piping industry, currently serving as the BIM/VDC Piping Trade Lead and BIM/VDC Piping Detailer at Southland Industries since January 2022, where the focus is on creating 3D models for mechanical piping using Revit in accordance with BIM standards. Prior experience includes a tenure at Apollo Mechanical Contractors from August 2012 to January 2022, where Tyson held the positions of Piping Supervisor, overseeing mechanical piping installations on major projects, including Amazon Data Centers, and Piping Apprentice, involved in the installation and maintenance of piping systems. Earlier career experience includes serving as a Construction Superintendent at Total Site Services (January 2009 - August 2012), managing project schedules and client relations. Tyson holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and a Journeyman certification from the Local 598 Plumbers and Steamfitters Apprenticeship.
