Gina Heppel

Gina Heppel has extensive work experience primarily in the field of human resources. Gina started their career at Texas Bank (now BBVA Compass) in 1997 as an AVP/Human Resources Supervisor and worked there until May 2006. Gina then joined Standard Utility Construction as a Human Resources Manager from April 2006 to October 2006. After that, they joined OmniAmerican Bank (now Southside Bank) in October 2006 as a VP Benefits Manager and worked there until December 2014. From December 2014 to June 2023, they worked at Southside Bank, initially as a VP Associate Director of Human Resources and then as an SVP Associate Director of Human Resources.

Gina Heppel holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities from Tarleton State University. Gina has also obtained various certifications including Certified Employee Benefit Specialist from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP) in 2017, SHRM-CP from SHRM in 2015, PHR from HR Certification Institute - HRCI in 2001, and Group 1 Life and Health License from the Texas Department of Insurance in January 2016.
