VP of Operations at Southteams

Belen Soria has held a variety of roles in the public and private sectors. In 2012, they began their career as a Paralegal at Plo & Asociados, where they worked in Corporate Governance and Financial Criminal Law. In 2014, they took on the role of Social Impact Projects Planning, Monitoring and Reporting Liaison Agent at the Buenos Aires City Government, where they were responsible for stakeholder mapping and management. In 2015, they joined INSSJP as an Assistant Manager in the Executive Direction, reporting directly to the Executive Director and coordinating a large and diverse team. From 2017 to 2020, Belen worked at the Ministerio de Desarrollo Social de la Nacion as Senior Manager for the Women Financial Inclusion Program, developing and coordinating the diversity and inclusion strategy with a focus on women's economic empowerment. Most recently, Belen held the roles of VP of Operations and ESG Strategy - Operations Partner at Southteams.

Belen Soria has a Bachelor's degree in Economic and Corporate Law from the University of Buenos Aires. Belen then completed a Postgraduate in Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development from the University of South-Eastern Norway in 2014. In 2012, they attended the University of California, Berkeley for Environmental Sustainability, Economics & Policy. In 2018, they completed a course in Transparency, Anti Money Laundering & Countering the Financing of Terrorism from the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella. In 2019, they completed a course in Business Development with Gender Perspective from CAF - Banco de Desarrollo de America Latina. Belen is currently pursuing a Master in Finance from the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella. In addition to their educational background, Belen Soria has obtained certifications such as Bonos ODS - Bonos verdes, sociales y sostenibles from the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) in 2020, C2 (Highest level) at EF English Proficiency Index from the EF Standard English Test (EF SET) in 2020, and B Corps from Sistema B in 2016.
