Chris Constable

Chris Constable is an experienced Borough Archaeologist at Southwark Council since May 2020, following a robust career in various senior roles including Principal Consultant at Wood and Amec Environment & Infrastructure UK Limited. Previous positions include Senior Archaeology Officer at Southwark Council and West Yorkshire Archaeology Advisory Service, as well as Senior Heritage Planner at Chris Blandford Associates. Chris holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Archaeology from Durham University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Historic Environment Conservation from the Ironbridge Institute. Additionally, academic experience includes teaching at the Department of Archaeology at Durham University and involvement in archaeological projects.
