R. Sterling Haring, DO, MPH, currently serves as an Interventional Pain Physician at Southwell since August 2022 and a Visiting Fellow at the National Academy of Medicine. Haring has been an Injury Researcher at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health since January 2017. Prior experience includes roles as a Resident Physician and Clinical Fellow at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and a Research Fellow at the Center for Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety. Haring also held a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Health Policy at Harvard Medical School and conducted research at the Johns Hopkins Surgery Center for Outcomes Research. As the Founder and CEO of FreeCare USA, Haring established the nation's largest database of fee-reduced healthcare services. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Public Health and a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University, a DO from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, and a BA in Russian from Brigham Young University.
