Virginia Turner has a diverse work experience in the food service industry. Virginia began their career as an Executive Chef at Garuda LLC in 2010 and later worked as a Chef and Lead Chef at Treat America Food Services from 2011 to 2014. In 2013, they served as a Food Service Manager at Indianapolis Public Schools. Virginia then joined KMS Gamma Phi Beta House as a Chef in 2019 before transitioning to a role as a Head Chef at US Air Force Services in 2014. Currently, they are the Director of Food and Nutrition Services at Altar Valley School District in Partnership with SFE LLC since July 2022.

Virginia Turner attended The Chef's Academy-Harrison College from 2009 to 2013, where they obtained an Associate's degree in Culinary Arts.
