Jelena Berkelhammer

Jelena Berkelhammer is a highly experienced medical professional currently serving as an MD and Senior Clinical Research Scientist with Southwest Gastroenterology Associates, P.C. and Southwestgastroenterology since March 2009 and August 2008, respectively. With a strong background in clinical and research settings, Jelena has also held academic positions as an Adjunct Faculty at Trinity College of Nursing & Health Sciences, Lecturer at Wilbur Wright College and Olive Havey College, and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Educational qualifications include a Master's Degree and Master of Science in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Illinois at Chicago, alongside extensive postdoctoral training in various medical fields at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Jelena's foundational medical training was completed at the University of Belgrade, where a Doctor of Medicine was obtained.
