Julie Shaw

Julie Shaw is the current Board Chair at Southwest Human Development. Julie has also previously served as the Vice President of Finance for the Arizona Republic, as well as the General Manager and Vice President of Finance for the Des Moines Register.

Shaw has over 10 years of experience in financial leadership positions. In their role as VP of Finance for the Arizona Republic, they were responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, key controls and analysis. Julie also worked closely with the sales team on pricing models, goal setting and commission plans.

As General Manager of the Des Moines Register, Shaw was responsible for the overall management of the newspaper. In their role as Vice President of Finance, they were in charge of the financial wellbeing of the company. This included overseeing the budget, forecasting, expense management, resource allocation and product analysis.

Shaw is a highly experienced and respected leader in the field of finance. Her experience will be invaluable in their current role as Board Chair at Southwest Human Development.

Julie Shaw has a Bachelor of Accounting from the University of Northern Iowa and a Master of Business Administration from Drake University.
