Veronica Birch has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in clinical reimbursement and nursing management. Veronica started their career as the Owner of HappyNurse Health & Safety Training, where they operated a training center and taught CPR, First Aid, and other health training programs. Veronica then transitioned to various roles in skilled nursing facilities, including MDS Coordinator and Clinical Manager at Mason Health Care Center, and Director of Nursing at Hillstone Healthcare LLC.

Veronica also served as the Lead MDS Coordinator at The Health Care Management Group, where they provided oversight, education, and in-servicing to other MDS personnel. Veronica was responsible for coordinating interdisciplinary plans of care, completing physician certifications, and managing documentation for review. Veronica later worked as a Clinical Reimbursement Operations Consultant at Signature Healthcare, monitoring billing and recording accuracy, conducting education sessions, and managing denials processes.

In their most recent role as the VP of Clinical Reimbursement at Southwest Ltc Management, Veronica is responsible for overseeing and managing the clinical reimbursement initiatives for the company. Veronica tracks, trends, and identifies areas of improvement and opportunities for growth.

Veronica Birch holds multiple degrees and certifications in the healthcare field. Veronica started their education journey in 1997 at Aiken High School. Later, they attended Excelsior University from 2013 to 2016, where they obtained an Associate of Science (AS) in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse. In 2017 to 2018, Veronica pursued a Bachelor's degree in Nursing Science from Western Governors University. Veronica furthered their education at the same institution from 2019 to 2020, earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Healthcare Management.

In addition to their academic degrees, Veronica has obtained several certifications. Veronica became a Resident Assessment Coordinator - Certified through AANAC in August 2016. Veronica obtained their Director of Nursing Services-Certified certification from AADNS in February 2018. Veronica also holds the QAPI Certified Professional certification from AADNS, achieved in January 2017. Veronica earned the CMAC certification from Relias in October 2019.
