Ryan Ziegler

Ryan Ziegler currently serves as the Director of Operations Policy and Performance Support at Southwest Power Pool, a position held since October 2025. Prior to this, Ryan held several leadership roles at Associated Electric Cooperative Inc., including Senior Manager of System Operations and Supervisor of System Operations, where responsibilities encompassed ensuring safe and reliable operations of generation and transmission assets, managing engineering and operations activities, and overseeing NERC compliance initiatives. Earlier experience includes roles at CWLD - City of Columbia Utilities as a NERC Compliance Officer and Power Plant Operator. Ryan Ziegler holds a Master of Public Administration from Missouri State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from Drury University.
