Bruce Smith

Bruce Smith is an experienced educator and engineer with a diverse background spanning over three decades. Since 2002, Bruce has served as a Professor in the School of Math, Science, and Engineering at Southwestern Community College District, instructing in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, and Mathematics. Previous roles include Applications Engineer at California Linear Devices, where Bruce recruited and trained sales channels, and at Axsys Technologies, where responsibilities included solutions and product management. Bruce also held positions at Baldor Electric and GE, focusing on motion control and embedded firmware, respectively, and served as a volunteer teacher for the Peace Corps. Bruce began a career in network administration at Ameritech and holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from The University of Toledo.
