Dr. Arthur Jr Guaracha

Dr. Arthur Jr Guaracha is a seasoned educator and counselor with extensive experience in supporting diverse student populations across various academic institutions. Currently serving as a Counselor and Professor at Southwestern Community College District since May 2016, Dr. Guaracha focuses on student retention and program development. Additional roles include Public Scholar Fellow at the Kettering Foundation and Counselor at Cuyamaca College, where emphasis is placed on empowering community college students. Dr. Guaracha's earlier positions include Assistant Director at the University of California San Diego Graduate School of International Relations and Academic Counselor at UC San Diego, contributing significantly to program development and student success initiatives. Dr. Guaracha holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from San Diego State University, alongside a Master of Arts in Educational Counseling and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology.
