Melinda Lara

Melinda Lara, EdD, currently serves as the Director of Disability Support Services at Southwestern Community College District, where responsibilities include leading equitable accommodation processes and overseeing various support services. With extensive experience in higher education, previous roles include Interim Director and Associate Director of the Student Ability Success Center at San Diego State University, focusing on disability accommodations and campus collaboration. Melinda Lara also has a background in community outreach and case management, having worked with Toward Maximum Independence and ACES, where expertise included behavior therapy and resource coordination. Educational qualifications encompass an Ed.D. in Education/Community College Leadership from San Diego State University and an MBA from California State University San Marcos.
