Scott Queener

Scott Queener is the Director of Enrollment Development & Campus Operations at Southwestern Illinois College. Scott has held this position since January 2020. Prior to that, they were the Director - Student Success at Lincoln Land Community College from June 2018 to January 2020.

Before their time at Lincoln Land Community College, Scott was the Department Chair and Professor of Counseling at Saint Louis Community College from January 2010 to May 2018. In this role, they supervised department faculty and professional staff, managed the department's operational budget, and co-chaired a retention project for students on academic probation. Scott also administered New Student Orientation for both first-year and transfer students, and provided counseling services to students in need.

From February 2005 to January 2010, Scott served as the Interim Associate Director/Career Counselor at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. In this role, they provided counseling services to students regarding their educational and career goals.

Scott began their career in August 2002 as the ACT Coordinator at Chestnut Health Systems. Scott held this position for three years before moving on to Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

Scott Queener has a Ph.D. in Educational Studies from Saint Louis University and an M.S. in Educational Psychology from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.

Scott Queener reports to Nick Mance, College President. They are on a team with Michael Juenger - Director of Athletics, Cindy Shanks - Director of IT Equipment & Licensing, and Rena Thoele - Executive Director, SWIC Foundation. and Angie Stewart-Brown - Associate Director, Campus & Community Liaison reports to Scott Queener.
