Clifton O'Banion, M. Ed. is an experienced education professional currently serving as a Professional School Counselor at the Bureau of Indian Education since May 2023. Previously, Clifton held the position of Special Education Teacher and Department Lead at Clear Springs High School from July 2019 to May 2023, successfully mentoring over 20 educators to ensure equitable learning opportunities. Prior to this, Clifton taught high school science at Texas City High School and operated a photography business, O'Banion Portraiture. With a solid background in the US Navy, Clifton advanced through various roles including Chief Petty Officer and Engineering Officer of the Watch, honing leadership and technical skills. Educational credentials include a Master’s in School Counseling from Lamar University and a Bachelor’s in Nuclear Engineering Technology from Thomas Edison State University.
